Drug-induced parkinsonism (DIP) is one of the most frequent extrapyramidal disorders that develops against background prescribing a large number medications. Initially, DIP was described as an adverse drug reactions (ADRs) use antipsychotic drugs, but later recognized ADRs other including prokinetics, antidepressants, calcium channel blockers and antiepileptic drugs. The relative risk developing LIP on taking typical antipsychotics increased by 2.92 times compared to patients who do not take these in receiving flunarizine 2.75-4.07 times. with antidepressants 2.14 times, among drugs this group DIP, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors often associated (relative 1.24). Among there evidence development duloxetine, mirtazapine, amitriptyll clomipramine, venlafaxine, trazodone. anticonvulsants, can rarely develop appointment valproic acid, gabapentin, pregabalin, carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine. metoclopramide extremely low (0.06%), it 2.16 higher people drug. from groups, occur lithium carbonate, tacrolimus, cyclosporine, amiodarone, captopril, amphotericin B. If develops, necessary, if possible, reduce dose or cancel inducer drug, replace another minimal DIP. Symptoms regress within few weeks months after reduction withdrawal inducer. symptoms persist longer, necessary exclude presence Parkinson’s disease dementia Lewy bodies.
